My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I apply skills learned to assist individuals in identifying thought distortions and patterns that create negative, self-defeating and anxiety producing thoughts. Skills are taught to address and counter unproductive thoughts and behaviors.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have training in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I incorporate breathing, body scans and grounding techniques into treatment with the goal of learning to experience the present more fully versus ruminating about the past or worrying about the future. I find this modality useful in treating depression, anxiety and trauma.

Motivational Interviewing

I have been trained in Motivational Interviewing and have used MI techniques when working with substance use disorders.

Feel really lucky to find a therapist I connect with. Jill listens and provides guidance on how I can improve. I came to Jill primarily for relationship support but she has been open to looking into all areas I need help with. She’s warm welcoming, non judgmental. She simply has a good heart and just wants to help with your best interests at hand. Only thing is I wish I found her sooner in life
