Are you experiencing stress, worry, racing thoughts, impaired sleep, feeling on edge, heart racing, nightmares, or/and flashbacks? Do you replay moments in your head and feel hopeless? My specialty is helping clients uncover the root of their problems and then empower them with the skills necessary to regain a healthier sense of control in those areas. Let me help you on this journey! Imagine yourself empowered, as we find recurring themes and self-defeating patterns. You will discover ways to overcome fear and other emotional obstacles. Problems, once confronted, lead to insights and newfound strength, self-acceptance and freedom. My advanced training is in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) which is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from anxiety, trauma and PTSD symptoms. My experience and training help us to quickly identify key issues, unconscious factors and ways to resolve them. My primary focus is on helping individuals find balance and peace after experiencing trauma, navigating through life transitions, unhealthy relationships, or loss and grief. I can work with you to develop healthy coping skills and gain insight. I love to help others feel at peace and whole again. If there is one thing that I would like for you to know is that the most crucial part of therapy is to find a therapist that you trust. My priority is to create a genuine connection with my clients by creating a safe and non-judgmental space for them.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I'll start with a brief introduction, I'll verify some information, then I'll have you discuss current and ongoing concerns in your life. I'll make sure I have an understanding of what is going on, I will develop a treatment plan, and then we will complete an assessment together. Finally I will set up exceptions from therapy, therapy boundaries, I'll review policies and procedures, payment, and we will discuss weekly scheduled session times.

I enjoy working with adult clients and wide range of issues including Anxiety, Trauma and Abuse, Life Transitions, grief, Emerging Adulthood, and Multigenerational trauma.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I’ve been using EMDR in my practice for the past five years. It’s helped dozens of clients process their traumatic experiences and/or anxiety. I have noticed that when implementing the EMDR treatment method versus talk therapy, progress in treatment is much quicker than "only" talk therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past five years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. CBT aims to help you identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and to learn practical self-help strategies.
