I am a trauma-informed therapist specializing in helping children, adolescents, moms and adults recover from past and present traumas. I focus on emotional healing from experiences that have caused anxiety, depression, anger, stress or PTSD. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space for individuals to explore their trauma, build resilience, and move toward a healthier future. Beyond addressing the symptoms, I help clients process their trauma at a deeper level by guiding them through trauma narrative work. This approach allows clients to retell their story in a way that fosters healing and reduces the emotional intensity tied to their traumatic memories. Whether it’s childhood trauma, relational trauma, or ongoing challenges related to PTSD, my goal is to help clients regain a sense of safety and connection in their lives. Above all, I am passionate about walking alongside clients as they move from a place of survival to one of thriving and renewed resilience.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming environment where we begin by discussing their current challenges, history, and goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions to get a full understanding of their trauma history and emotional needs, and we will collaborate to create a tailored treatment plan. This session is about building trust and setting the foundation for future work.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths lie in my ability to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I’m skilled at helping clients navigate complex emotions, identify and process unresolved trauma, and develop healthier coping strategies. I also offer a holistic and individualized approach, focusing on both emotional and physical aspects of trauma recovery.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, especially how their past or present trauma affects their emotional responses, such as anger, anxiety, or depression. We focus on identifying distorted thinking patterns and replacing them with healthier, more adaptive thoughts. For example, I might guide a client through challenging negative beliefs about themselves stemming from trauma and encourage them to practice healthier coping strategies.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

For clients experiencing heightened emotional responses, DBT provides valuable skills in distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. I integrate DBT techniques, particularly with adolescents and adults, to help them manage intense emotions related to trauma. For instance, we might focus on mindfulness techniques to stay grounded during flashbacks or episodes of anger or apply distress tolerance skills to navigate overwhelming moments without self-destructive behavior.

Psychodynamic

I explore clients' unconscious processes, childhood experiences, and patterns of relating to others, as these often shape their emotional struggles in the present. Through psychodynamic approaches, I help clients uncover unresolved conflicts and trauma that may manifest in symptoms like depression, anxiety, and anger. We explore how their past influences their current behaviors, and by gaining insight, they can experience healing and develop healthier relationships and coping mechanisms.
