🙋‍♀️ Hey there, I'm Bella, a licensed therapist fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (I can also speak Chinese dialects in Shanghainese and Ningbonese). 你好!我叫Bella, 是一名中英双语加州执照心理咨询师。我会说普通话/台湾国语, 上海话和宁波话。 ☎️ I occasionally have a few monthly openings. If you'd like to work with me but don't see availability here, please get in touch via my website 👉 www. bellachentherapy.com Feeling lost in the quest for "life purpose"? Tired of chasing one credential after another only to feel unprepared in your new ventures? Struggling to juggle work, family, and self-care? Or maybe you're just overwhelmed by all the different roles you have to play? No worries, I'm here to help high performers like you manage the stress life throws at us. We'll dive into your mind, body, and spirit using the cognitive behavior model, mindfulness exercises, and somatic techniques. Together, we'll figure out what's not working and chart a path to a new balance. Remember, you're a work in progress, a masterpiece in the making🦋. In our sessions, I'll bring compassion and evidence-based techniques to help you break free from just existing and start truly living! Can't wait to see you in the virtual therapy room 😊 🌜🦉Evening session: available upon request. ⚠️ 如果您或您的家人讲普通话/台湾国语, 上海话和宁波话,或需要中文协助预约,请发送电子邮件至 bellachentherapy@protonmail.com ******************Cancellation/No-Show Policy************************* I kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel an appointment. Late cancellations, when less than 24 hours' notice is given, can be challenging to accommodate, and you will be charged $75 late cancellation/no-show fee. I value our communication and time together, and I want to ensure we can continue making progress on your journey. Please keep in mind that after 2 no-shows or late cancellations within a 3-month period, I won't be able to schedule further appointments as per the policy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

FIRST INTAKE SESSION: The goal of our first session is to get to know you and gain a deeper understanding of your needs and goals. We will talk about your current life, challenges and history to uncover potential contributing factors. Together, we will set the therapy goals and decide the approaches work best for you. By the end, you will have a good understanding of the direction of your healing.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use everything necessary to meet your needs, they typically fall into the following: 👉 Cognitive Behavior Therapy: help you manage problems by changing the way you think and act. 👉 Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: help you establish a new relationship with your thoughts & feelings so that you can live a life based on your values and passion. 👉 Somatic techniques: Tap into the wisdom of your body, and process the restored emotions/pains from the past. 👉 Mindfulness: Make space for the "mind-full-ness" in daily life! 👉 Spirituality: Life is a bumpy road if you only rely on yourself. Sometimes, connecting with spiritual wisdom is only a quest away.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I see you and accept you as you are. My approach is direct and I would ask you questions that may challenge your existing thoughts/beliefs, which is intended to explore new ones for change and healing. With 10+ years of professional experience in community mental health, outpatient, residential and nonprofits, I have helped clients heal from cultural/career/life transitions, generational trauma, dysfunctional family and low self-esteem. As a Chinese immigrant myself, I have extensive experience working with Asian/ Asian Americans, immigrants and people of color. I am also experienced with art as a therapeutic tool. This creative process can often help process feelings and calm your mind.
