Hello! I am Angela. Have you been feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, struggling with motivation, anxious, depressed or just plain old stuck? Then, I am glad you are here! I have been working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of clinical, community and virtual settings to reach their goals for over 17 years. I believe in mixing different approaches to find the best fit for you individually. I help individuals find their way through evidenced-based approaches, towards living the life they want, by using virtual therapy sessions. I have found a love for the virtual session because it has the benefit of accessibility and eliminates some of the barriers to seeking help. If you are struggling to fit seeing a therapist into your routine and looking to manage anxiety, depression, adjusting to life events, loss or relationship challenges more effectively, this may be for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will get to know each other. I will ask questions about what is working for you, what has worked in the past and what you do not find helpful. We will start to create a vision for how we will know we have been successful in our work together, discuss expectations and start to lay the foundation for our journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength as a therapist is working with clients managing anxiety. Whether you are coping with OCD, panic, social anxiety, or general anxiety symptoms, I truly enjoy working with people to grow their individualized coping skills tool belt, actualizing their desire to live a more balanced and full life. Assertiveness Training is another strength of mine. If you lean on the side of aggression or avoidance in your relationships or conflicts, we can work together to find the middle ground of assertive expression. Communication skills are important and making small shifts here can make all the difference in your relationships.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I particularly focus on populations, managing anxiety, mild to moderate depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, and substance misuse without a need for higher level of care.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We will use this model to seek change by exploring and intervening where your thoughts activate your emotions and your emotions your behaviors. Through repetition and skill building we can find what exactly works for you to create the change you wish for in your life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

We will work through building change based on the things you value most, finding motivation, building on successes and directing your decisions towards what is most important to you individually, while learning how to settle disruptive reactions and behaviors that take your further from your goals.
