I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I received my Master’s degree in 2020 from California State University, Bakersfield. I have been practicing since my second year of my program in (2018), but have been working full time for the past 4 years. My main work has been individuals as various life stages; I have focused more on supporting young adults navigate through life transitions, identity struggles, and past trauma.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first sessions, clients can expect some information sharing. It may feel like answering a list of questions, however the questions are intended to help formulate a plan to best help support the clients. I will also share about my experience and therapeutic work to help client determine if they feel like we will work well together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel that what has helped me work well with my clients has been my ability to connect with them and provide a safe space for them to explore their emotions without feeling judged. I work on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with clients because I think it’s one of the most important things in the therapeutic setting.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

I utilize psychodynamic therapy in practice to help clients gain awareness into past patterns and attachment styles that may be impacting their current relationships. I also engage psychodynamic practices to help client stay in the present moment with their emotions and feelings to help them express and validate them.

Humanistic

I practice a humanistic approach to create a safe space for clients to feel like they can be themselves. I attempt to provide a comfortable, nonjudgmental, and compassionate environment.
