Hello!! My name is Dolly, I'm a board certified psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Texas and Nebraska. I have been working with patients with mental and behavioral health issues from ages 4- geriatrics for 8 years. My purpose as a nurse practitioner is to deliver patient centered care to patients, empowering them by overcoming their mental health challenges and to be their best versions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, I would like to know you as a person, your beliefs, your medical and psychiatric history, your goals, expectations, and we can come up with a plan that works for you. This is approximately 45- 60 minutes.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is the ability to connect with patients, deliver compassionate and holistic care to patients centered to their needs. I practice evidence-based practice and listening to you and your needs.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Its amazing how our minds and lives can improve as a result of change. Have you been struggling with depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances or other mental health issues, there is hope, and I would love to help you through it. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a therapeutic approach that will focus on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and replacing them with positive realistic ones. Through this treatment, one will help be aware of when they make negative interpretations and of behavioral patterns that reinforce distorted thinking. This by itself is an effective treatment for some patients, but when combined with medication management, it is proven to improve treatment thus improving the quality of life. In my practice, you will have this option.

Motivational Interviewing

Through motivational interviewing, one will get to challenge themselves to identify, examine, and having resolution of ambivalence about challenging behavior. During our sessions, I will use techniques that will help you strengthen your motivation and commitment to change.
