Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in New York. I received my master's from the University of Rochester and a Certificate of Advance Study (CAS) from Medaille College, I have been practicing for 8 years. I help people of all ages who struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders become the best versions of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session you can expect a structured yet flexible approach aimed at building rapport, gathering information, and establishing goals for therapy. Introductions and Establishing Rapport: I will start by introducing myself and creating a comfortable and non-judgmental environment. I will ask you about your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. Assessment and Information Gathering: I will conduct an initial assessment to gather information about your background, personal history, current concerns, and any relevant symptoms or challenges. This may involve asking questions about your family, relationships, work, health, and previous experiences with therapy. Exploration of Goals and Expectations: I will work collaboratively with the you to identify your goals for therapy and clarify expectations. This may involve discussing what you hope to achieve, how you envision the therapeutic process unfolding, and any specific outcomes you are seeking. Establishing a Treatment Plan: Based on the assessment and goal-setting discussion, we will work together to develop a treatment plan. This plan may include specific interventions, techniques, and goals tailored to your unique needs and preferences. Addressing Questions and Concerns: I will encourage you to ask questions and express any concerns you may have about the therapeutic process. I will strive to address these questions and concerns in a supportive and transparent manner. Setting Expectations for Future Sessions: I will discuss what to expect in future sessions, including the frequency and duration of sessions and any homework assignments or exercises that may be part of the therapeutic process. Overall, the first session with me is an opportunity for us to begin building a therapeutic relationship, explore your concerns, and collaboratively develop a plan for addressing them. It's a time for me to gather information, set goals, and establish a foundation for the work ahead.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am empathic, understanding and respond to the emotions expressed by you in a supportive and compassionate manner. I acknowledge and validate feelings, offer encouragement, and provide guidance based on established therapeutic principles and techniques. I provide a non-judgmental and unbiased space for individuals to express themselves without fear of stigma or discrimination.
