We get to explore past experiences and relationships that can be driving current relational patterns or behaviors. This can be done by addressing whatever comes to mind during session to help make connections between the past and the present. The goal is to gain greater self-awareness leading to feeling more fulfilled.
We focus on the connection between physical sensations and emotional experiences. This may include techniques like mindfulness, deep breathing, or body scans to help you become more aware of how emotions manifest in the body. By tuning into these physical sensations, you can better understand and release stored emotional tension, promoting emotional healing and overall well-being. This approach helps integrate both mental and physical health for a more holistic healing process.
Mindfulness encourages you to focus on the present moment, cultivating awareness of thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without judgment. Techniques like guided meditation, breathing exercises, and body awareness help to manage stress, reduce negative thinking, and increase emotional regulation.
We can focus on identifying and addressing issues in relationships that may be contributing to emotional distress. Then we can work on improving communication skills, resolving conflicts, and navigating life transitions like grief, role changes, or interpersonal challenges. By examining patterns in relationships and developing healthier ways to connect with others, you can improve your emotional well-being and social support.
We will delve into and understand early relationships, particularly with caregivers, to identify how attachment patterns influence current emotional and relational behaviors. I can help you in recognizing maladaptive attachment styles, and work to create a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. Through this process, you can heal from past attachment wounds and develop healthier, more secure relationships with yourself and others.
