In our sessions, I'll meet you where you are with compassion and evidence-based practices so we can identify what's not working and find a way to help you meet your goals for a healthier, happier life. I offer telehealth counseling services for individual adults of all ages and all walks of life who reside in the state of Kentucky. My therapeutic approach is primarily strengths-based, applied within evidence based interventions such as cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness therapies. My goal as a therapist is to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for you to explore and express your thoughts and feelings. Let's work together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first few sessions together, we will be discussing what brought you to therapy and what your goals are. We will also spend our early sessions getting to know each other, and as we progress, we will determine what therapy style works best for you. I strive to create a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment so you can feel comfortable to be honest with me. I will also ask you for regular feedback about how you feel our sessions are going so I can best support you. As therapy continues, we will examine patterns of thinking and behavior that no longer serve you, and we will collaborate to come up with homework assignments that you are comfortable with working on between sessions. Each week we will review your progress to identify how far you've come toward meeting your goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My therapeutic approach is primarily strengths-based and person-centered, applied within evidence based interventions such as cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapies. My aim is to meet you where you are and tailor my approach to come up with a treatment plan that best meets your needs.

I work hard to make sure you feel heard, validated, and supported by creating an empathic and comfortable environment. My background and experience are primarily with adults and geriatrics in a medical mental health setting, and I enjoy working with adults in all walks of life and with a wide variety of mental health diagnoses.
