Hi, I am a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in North Carolina. I have been practicing for over 8 years, but I have been in nursing for over 17 years. I am also licensed to practice in South Carolina. It is my mission to help my patients heal, energize themselves, and discover their inner strength.
I encourage them to advocate for themselves and to ask questions in order to better understand their conditions.
I believe that by actively listening to my patients and providing compassionate and informative care they will be able to thrive.
First session
In our first session, we will complete a thorough and comprehensive assessment to assist your needs and customize your treatment plan. Treatment should not be all about medication. Our initial assessment will take a more holistic approach. I want to know more about my patients. I get to learn their backgrounds, likes and dislikes, their work-life balance, and specific challenges they are facing. That way, we can create the best plan that will address all of their needs.
Strengths
Over the past 17 years, I have provided my clients a safe and supportive atmosphere. I encourage them to advocate for themselves and to ask questions in order to better understand their conditions. It is really important that my clients feel comfortable and secure.
Ideal clients
I love working with adults and adolescents. I feel when the adults feel overwhelmed and out of sorts from day to day I am there to listen to their concerns and help them overcome their difficulties. I enjoy working with adolescents between the ages of 13 to 17. They are just beginning to experience some of the pressures of adulthood and need help navigating incoming challenges.
