Hello! I'm Anthony. Ever find that you're spending too much time in your head? Do you find that worrying is interfering or making it harder to manage all of life's stresses? Are you struggling to remain present in the here-and-now? I help individuals address their anxiety, depression, and stress that may be impacting their ability to keep up with life's responsibilities. Together, we'll explore all the qualities of what makes you, you. Utilizing, what we discover, as some sort of blueprint, to improve or expand upon. I have an eclectic approach to therapy, integrating evidence-based techniques that best fit your needs. If you experience unplanned life events/changes, anxiety, depression, or stress disrupting your flow in life. Know that you're not alone and we'll take it on together. Be ready to learn, adapt, and grow your skills and resources to conquer all that life throws your way. Lastly, I want to thank you for seeking therapy to enhance your mental health well-being. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is a bit like playing catch up. We'll briefly review your life's experiences, events, and characteristics that contribute to how you are navigating the journey of life. Here, we'll identify your needs and get a better understanding of how I can help. The next session, we start developing a foundation of coping skills & strategies that will continue to expand as we grow our therapeutic relationship. Ongoing sessions will be utilized to process issues, life events (past or present), increase insight on our pattern of functioning, and reinforce our tools & resources.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use an eclectic approach to therapy, with a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy base. However, considering all the complexities of being human I found that tools from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy such as mindfulness techniques help us remain present and home in on the skill of self-observation without judgement. Additionally, I’m a firm believer that you got this far in life and overcame obstacles that may help our efforts. This is the essence of a Strength-Based approach and can be developed further with methods from Solution-Focused Therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I helped individuals manage an array of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, mood disorders, substance use problems and health-related issues. Utilizing my experience in community health centers (unlicensed and licensed) and training in various evidence-based interventions, I have recognized my ability to attune my clinical insight to the modern person’s perspective. Ultimately, sculpting a practical approach and the focus of my work around alleviation of anxiety, stress, and depression.
