I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have a wide range of experience throughout Mental Health. These experiences have allowed me to served many populations in a variety of settings and b/c of this my preferred approach to Therapy is mixture of traditional forms of talk therapy and holistic mindfulness practices. My approach in therapy will assists in helping you gain true insight into how your experiences contribute to your behaviors, thoughts, and emotions and how they show up in your life. I'll provide you with skills that will teach you how mind and body regulation paired with psychoeducation can benefit your overall treatment goals and whole-body wellness. I often will incorporate Yoga and meditation techniques to assist in learning what it feels like to support yourself through self compassion and being present in the moment. During this process You are the only person you need to trust the most b/c it is You who is doing the work. Start before you are ready, we'll work together to reach your treatment goals. A healthier Iife IS available to you today.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing in a comprehensive assessment. This will help us create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We will spend some time doing this, so that I can capture as much information that will assist in applying therapeutic interventions that will help you work towards progressing your treatment most effectively.
My ability to apply life experiences, skills training, and education allows me to be relatable and adaptable, which are my biggest strengths. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a EMDR Therapist, a Certified Trauma Informed Yoga Professional and my skills surround working with women who struggle with self confidence, anxiety, and trauma. I also work with children and adolescents who struggle with building self-confidence, anxiety, trauma, and behavior concerns.
Sometimes you just need some therapeutic guidance to navigate through life experiences. I enjoy working with individuals who come in with an open mind of the possibility that they can be the best version of themselves by taking this step towards healing. Individuals who have a desire to seek assistance in processing their experiences and (re)learning healthy life skills have tend to have a more positive impact to their treatment goals. I enjoy working with women who struggle with their self-beliefs and confidence in themself and/or within their career. Watching individuals truly blossom into who they really are and seeing themselves without the distorted perception is rewarding to not just myself but to the individual who is most deserving of it.
I am an EMDR Trained Therapist. This helps is accelerating effective treatment for a many life experiences, diagnosis, and symptom management.
The use of Cognitive therapy can be effective in decreasing and replacing negative cognitive behaviors with positive one to increase healthy behaviors and choices.
I often use movement through Yoga, meditation, and grounding to assist in connecting mind and body to help produce self-regulation.
Many current triggers and reactions to experiences are often found to be linked to trauma. I use Trauma Informed Care in my practice because of this, and it allows treatment to continue with a person centered outlook.
