Hi! You've probably read many of these profiles, and more than anything else I want you to know that I believe that you have made a massive step in seeking help to heal and possibly make changes in your life that will promote growth. I primarily work with BIPOC women who have experienced trauma, have a family with roots in other countries, have immigration-related issues, have epigenetic trauma, and have experienced childhood sexual abuse. I've been in the mental health field for almost fifteen years and have been in various roles--I feel that those experiences have helped make me a well-rounded therapist equipped to handle various situations that may be happening in your life. I can help you look at different perspectives, walk with you through trauma, and support you as you become the best version of yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Connection is really important so expect a lot of questions around what brings you to therapy, what are your goals, expectations, and fears.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I meet clients where they are and take all the necessary time to get to know my clients so they feel like they have a safe space to be themselves. I specialize in adults that have experienced sexual trauma, first-generation immigrants, first-timers to the therapy world, and in being able to approach healing with a holistic lens. ** At this time, I am not accepting any couples as clients** ***Once booking your intake appointment please fill out the three questionnaires in order to keep your intake slot***

My treatment methods

Somatic

I believe in the impact trauma has on our body and I will work with my clients on ways to connect with their bodies in a healthy way.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Culturally sensitive therapy will typically lead with a thorough assessment of the culture the client identifies with. This approach can both help a client feel comfortable and at ease, and lead to more positive therapeutic outcomes – for example, depression may look different depending on your cultural background, even gender.

EMDR

I have been trained in EMDR and will use it as a tool in helping clients heal from past trauma.
