My name is Stacy Richardson. I hold a Ph.D. in Psychology from North Central University as well as a Master's in Human Services with Specialization in Marital, Couples, and Family from Capella University. I am licensed in the states of California, Hawaii, and Virginia. My approach to therapy is solution-focused, client-centered, and eclectic to meet the individual needs of clients. I work with teens, couples, adults 18+, and older adults using approaches such as Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, structural, and narrative therapy.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I try to create a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental, and open environment with clients. This allows clients to ideally feel they can express and share about themselves in a way that is uninhibited.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I believe while life’s challenges provide us an opportunity to persevere in situations, behaviors may result as a way to meet that need or situation. I believe in working with you, as a partner to help you identify the solutions that will meet your unique and personal needs. I approach providing services by honoring and respecting our uniqueness and differences.
