I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in Indiana, Kentucky, Wisconsin, and California. I have been practicing for 6+ years. I have worked with clients of all ages and who are struggling with a wide range of problems. I have worked with domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma, eating disorders, self harm, depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and more. My approach is warm and inviting. I believe in treating each individual with respect. I also believe each individual I see has the ability to change and get well. My stance as a therapist is one of being a coach or a guide. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am also fully trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Reaching out for help takes courage and bravery. If you are ready to begin taking steps towards a happier and more fulfilling life, I am here to help. I look forward to working with you! *If I am not in network with your insurance I can provide you with a monthly superbill or we can discuss sliding scale for cash pay.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions to get to know one another a little better. I will inform you of my credentials and verify that you reside in a state I am licensed in. I will review informed consent, limits of confidentiality, payment, telehealth guidelines, and how sessions are typically structured. I will begin gathering data on your personal history and the current issues you are experiencing in order for me to develop a holistic and comprehensive picture of you. This information will help me be in a position to help you to the best of my ability. The history gathering can take up to two sessions, after which we will work together to develop your treatment plan. In order for a successful first session with me, I expect Grow's intake paperwork to be completed as well as the informed consent I will send to you via the patient portal you set up with Grow. If this paperwork is not completed by the day of your first session, I will cancel your appointment and you will be charged my late cancellation fee. Once your paperwork is completed, you would be free to reschedule your intake appointment.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
As a clinician I enjoy working with clients who struggle with trauma. I have the most experience working with trauma as well as sexual assault and domestic violence. It is such an honor to be allowed into a client's deepest hurts and be able to assist them in walking out of that hurt into freedom.
