Welcome! I'm Tatum. Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationship distress, family dynamics, work-life balance, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life. Counseling can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will initially spend time informing you about the therapeutic process and determining that the Client-Therapist match is best suitable to meet you and your treatment needs. I typically use the intake form as a guide to help me get a better understanding of who you are and your story. The most important is that you as the Client feel safe and comfortable to share and meet yourself wherever you are at in your healing journey.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My approach to therapy primarily combines components from client-centered, solution-focused, and psycho-educational. Each client is unique in their reasons for seeking services, and each client is unique in their healing journey as well. There is not a one-size-fits-all approach and a part of our work together is to understand what treatment methods are the most effective.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

*Providing validation & supportive reflection *Empathetic, understanding, and here to sit in difficulties of life *Perinatal Mental Health: Managing anxiety, depression, OCD primarily related to birthing process and role of motherhood. Planning to ensure mental health is intact throughout perinatal experience and being proactive to help reduce risk of developing mental health concerns. This applies to the partner's of the birthing person as well!
