(she/her)
I am a California Licensed Marriage and Family therapist; I have the training and experience to work with individuals, families and groups. My professional experience includes working with couples, families and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, the elder community, people struggling with chronic conditions such as pain, illness or caregiving situations. I have experience working with all ages - from children to older adults. My education included psychodynamic (relational), transpersonal (spiritual) and somatic (body) psychology that emphasized a Holistic approach to treating mental and emotional health challenges.
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then discuss into the specific challenges you're facing. It can take some time for us to get to know each other and establish rapport; our initial treatment plan will be focused on any immediate needs and focused on providing you support in addressing them outside of session as well as in session. If you have specific goals in mind, please be prepared to share them in the first session. We will continue to check in regularly in subsequent sessions to ensure you are getting your goals for therapy met.
My style is warm, compassionate, and creative. I aim to create a safe space where you feel heard, validated, and empowered. Whether we’re addressing life transitions, current challenges, or unhelpful patterns, our work together will be collaborative and tailored to your needs.
My clients may be facing new challenges, such as major life transitions - or they on-going mental, emotional or relational challenges that they would like to explore with a non-biased ally and supporter. Collaboratively, we develop a treatment plan that meets your needs and support you in finding a better balance. My clients are open to creative interventions that may include skills training and practice in session, playfulness, humor, guided visualization and experiential tasks.
