Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor ( FL ) and Licensed Professional Counsellor (NM) based physically in Florida. I received my Master's from Nova Southeastern University and have been practicing for 15 years, in various settings ( Residential, Community-based, Hospital, Federal Detention, and Juvenile Detention, Culture-specific populations). I help children, adolescents, and adults struggling with an array of concerns ( burnout, stress, divorce, depression, anxiety, substance use, defiance)and diagnoses navigate life to show up in the world as their best selves confidently.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with introductions, and ice breaker ifyou will, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We wlll end thesession with Q&A , your expectations asa client and my expectations as your clinican. Keeping in mind this session may spill over into 2 sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with array of client experience ( Mood disorders, Substance use, Families, children and adolecesnts for past 15 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress in a relatable manner, Free from judgement but filled with genuine care, concern and optimism.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

It is a priority to demonstrate empathy, through open-ended questions, reframing, and reflective listening while affirming clients' positive changes as i challenge them to confront contradictory thinking that prevents them from living as their authentic selves. This is an effective intervention for those struggling with substance use, accountability, aggression ect.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

It is my firm belief that how we see ourselves significantly impacts how feel about ourselves and show up in the world. When we can redefine our thinking and address traumatic experiences that have fractured our thinking then self-efficacy can be achieved. CBT is an effective intervention ffor a range of mental and emotional concerns including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues with children and adolecents

Racial trauma treatment

As a person of color the human expericence can be experieced differently for others significantly impact personal relationships, social relationships and work enviornments. Being culturally senstive allows me as a clinician to assist clients navigate those experience with the least amount of negative personal impact

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This intervention is for those with short term goals infused with the principle of being proactive instead of reactive, identifying and developing solutions instead 10 steps behind working to sovle a problem. In encompasses the concept of " listen, selct and build". This is most effective for those seeking to develop goals, with a willingness to work towards them with accountability. " The mircale question"

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

An effective intervention for those experiencing difficulties with emotional regulation, or exhibiting self destructive behaviors to include but not exclusive to substance use
