My name is Miriam Gottlieb. I'm a therapist in NY and NJ with 15 years of experience. I received my masters in mental health counseling and an advanced certificate in grief counseling at Brooklyn College. I have worked in outpatient mental health and substance use clinics. I help adult clients work on negative thought patterns, develop better coping skills and learn relaxation techniques.
During the first sessions, I will learn about your struggles, what brought you to therapy and a little about your history. We will work on developing individualized goals for your therapy.

I love working with clients with trauma and anxiety histories. They often feel very worried and unsure how to move past their struggles. During therapy we work on relaxation techniques and coping skills to help deal with the anxiety.
I work with clients on where there are at helping them discover and address non helpful thought processes and develop better coping skills.
I work collaboratively with my clients and use a trauma informed lenses to help support you getting better.
During therapy with my client as the driver, we work on an individualized based therapy method that works best to assist the client with meeting their goals.
