New to Grow
I’m a compassionate and client-centered therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience. My approach is warm, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including CBT, trauma-informed care, person-centered therapy, and relationship-focused interventions. I believe in partnering with clients to create a safe, empowering space where they can explore their experiences, build new skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and guide you toward the healthier, more fulfilling life you deserve.
In our first session, you can expect a calm and welcoming space where we begin getting to know one another. I will invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what you are hoping to work on, and what you need to feel supported. We will talk through your history at a pace that feels comfortable, explore your goals, and begin identifying the patterns or challenges you want to change. I focus on building trust, understanding your unique experiences, and making sure you feel heard and respected. By the end of the session, you will have a clearer sense of the direction we are heading and what our work together will look like. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is my ability to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I bring a calm and grounded presence that helps clients open up and explore their experiences with honesty and confidence. My work is guided by strong clinical skills, compassion, and a deep understanding of trauma, relationships, and emotional regulation. I am skilled at helping clients identify patterns, make meaningful connections, and develop practical tools they can use in their daily lives. I blend evidence-based methods with a person-centered style that respects each client’s pace and strengths. Clients often share that they feel empowered, validated, and able to make real, lasting changes because of the work we do together.
My ideal clients are individuals, couples, and families who are ready for change even if they are not sure where to begin. I work best with people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and want support in understanding their emotions, improving communication, healing from trauma, or breaking old patterns. Many of my clients are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, childhood trauma, or major life transitions and they are looking for a space where they can be heard without judgment. I am especially passionate about helping clients build self-worth, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. Whether you are navigating stress, healing from past wounds, strengthening your relationship, or trying to find clarity and balance, I will walk with you at your pace and support you as you move toward the life you want.
In my work, I use CBT to help clients identify the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, especially when these patterns are contributing to distress, conflict, or unsafe decision-making. This includes helping clients challenge unhelpful thoughts, develop more balanced thinking, and practice alternative behaviors that support healthier coping and improved functioning. I also incorporate structured CBT tools such as cognitive restructuring worksheets, behavior activation plans, exposure hierarchies (when clinically appropriate), coping-skills training, and thought-log monitoring.
I have experience providing couples counseling to partners navigating a variety of relationship challenges, including communication difficulties, trust and infidelity issues, emotional disconnect, co-parenting stress, unresolved conflict patterns, and the impact of trauma, mental health, or substance use on the relationship.
In practice, I utilize forensic psychology concepts when assessing cases that involve domestic violence, substance use, co-occurring disorders, parenting capacity concerns, child maltreatment allegations, and compliance with court-ordered services. I focus on understanding how mental health symptoms, trauma histories, cognitive distortions, and environmental factors impact decision-making, impulse control, risk, and overall safety for children and families.
I have extensive experience integrating Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) into my clinical work, particularly when supporting individuals and families who have experienced trauma, system involvement, or significant life stressors. This approach guides how I build rapport, structure sessions, and support clients in developing insight and self-efficacy.
I have extensive experience applying Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) across clinical, child welfare, behavioral health, and community settings. My work consistently incorporates an understanding of how trauma—whether acute, chronic, intergenerational, or complex—impacts a person’s behavior, emotional responses, relationships, and ability to engage in services.
