Hi my name is Audra Mets, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and working on completing my Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy. My dissertation is focused on women's issues, and the cultural and social factors involved in choosing their direction in life. I have been in the field for almost 10 years working as a gender specialist, grief specialist, and providing trauma informed care. In my private practice I have focused on helping clients find themselves while minimizing and managing symptoms of depression and anxiety through lifestyle changes and self-care practices.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, my goal is to better understand your reasons for seeking therapy and how a particular problem or symptom(s) impact your life. Together, we can explore what options you may have or changes you may wish to make in your life. I consider our working relationship an important aspect of therapy, and want to ensure any questions you may have about me or the therapy process can be discussed.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

For me, no detail is too small or irrelevant if you find it is important for you. I am patient and compassionate, and the more I learn about you helps me to see through your eyes. I also have a talent for remembering the details and connecting dots and ideas in session across weeks and months.
