Welcome, and thank you for considering me as a therapist to partner with you on your therapy journey! Taking the first steps to change your life can be challenging and, at times, a bit scary. I can relate to and understand how taking those initial steps to start a new journey can be uncomfortable. I strive to provide a warm, safe, and nonjudgemental environment where clients can feel comfortable working towards their goals utilizing tailored therapeutic techniques. Therapy is a partnership between the therapist and the client to work towards creating positive changes that one would like to focus on in their life. I have twenty-five years of experience working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families to address relationship issues, anxiety, depression, women's issues, grief, ADHD, and life transitions. With the proper support, I feel anyone can make advancements toward their goals. I look forward to the opportunity to partner with you on your journey of growth! Grow has not implemented a function to do this and booking in the middle of the hour (9:30, 10:30, etc.) creates potential time conflicts.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

As a therapist, I believe my role is to create a trusting client-therapist partnership and foster a team dynamic to address a client's concerns. At the start of the first session, I establish that I am a part of their team to assist them in creating and implementing action plans to allow for growth toward reaching their therapeutic goals. Therapy work is a partnership on a journey in that I strive to provide the support a client needs and wants. Everyone's journey is unique, and working as a team with open communication is essential to finding the right balance for individual success. I encourage clients to remember that change is not always comfortable, but it can be an opportunity for positive personal growth; one just needs to be receptive to the opportunity.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I believe therapy must be individualized to the client. I am continuously seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge base on clinical techniques that will allow me to provide the proper support balanced with providing knowledge to clients in addressing their goals. I have specialized training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy. Using various modalities and creating a safe, non-judgmental space, my focus is to assist clients in finding their strengths to achieve their goals by creating a motivating outlook with self-compassion to reach their fullest potential in growing personally.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, it is critical to remember that every individual requires a specialized approach created just for them. To create an individualized approach, I focus on ensuring clients feel comfortable and safe sharing their thought, struggles, and feelings as they take steps toward personal growth and development. My focus remains on the strengths a client possesses and is incorporated into their treatment to find the balance of feeling confident in their capabilities and finding opportunities to build skills developing inner strength and the mindset to approach any challenge with confidence to manage any situation they encounter.
