Hello, I am Margie, Do you ever feel like there is not enough time in the day? Are you increasingly feeling off (meaning, that you know something is going on that is causing a disconnect but you are not sure what it is)? I assist people with finding/repairing their focus on what is most important to them in order to avoid/lessen burnout. Together we can identify what is not working and develop a plan for how to address the areas of disconnection. Together we will work as a partnership to develop strategies to create "a present and future that makes you feel more fulfilled." In addition to focusing on the mind, body soul connection, I also integrate mindfulness, music and art to help you improve yourself. Throughout life's twists and turns, I am here to help. Seeking therapy is a huge step and for various reasons, many people do not. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can take ownership of "what I want, what I need and where I want to go."

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will get to know each other, in terms of hobbies, interests, sources of motivation and sources of stressors. I am a big believer that it is important that my clients know things about me that go beyond my profession, so that way conversations do not feel like a interrogation rather than a conversation that flows.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I pride myself on the ability to listen "for the purpose of understanding rather than as a means to respond." I take joy in asking questions that bring to the forefront what is the intention, purpose, needs and/or wants. I believe that we all know either what we want more of or less of- by working with me, we start with one of those areas and go from there.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I assist client with seeing the links between thoughts, feelings and behavior. We tend to favor one of the three more so than the others. Sometimes this lack of balance can cause frustration and stress in our life.

Eclectic

I like to assist people with identifying and verbalizing what do they want and need, how to cope with the possibility of not getting their exact wants/needs, and how to still give themselves and others grace.
