Welcome to GrowTherapy Telehealth and the virtual practice of Clinicians Group Corporation and Alysia S. Ross, M.S., LMHC, MAC, Florida Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist. I'm happy that you reached out for assistance and understand that it is sometimes incredibly challenging to find a licensed professional who connects with you when a time of guidance is needed or in a moment of crisis. I am here to provide assistance. My clinical practice utilizes a practical, interactive, solution-focused discipline as a licensed mental health professional with twenty-seven (27) years experience. My treatment approach is to provide support to assist clients in resolving current problems and long-standing patterns. I log in once a day Monday through Friday and am off on Saturday and Sunday. I generally respond to your messages between the hours of 12:00pm and 5:00pm EST.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am excited to start your therapeutic journey with you and will assist you each step of the way. To begin, the initial session will include an assessment and any variety of questions you may have. Starting this process can leave you with some uncertainty so please ask any questions that may come up for you. I will explain the process and go over protocols and procedures with you during your initial week.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been gifted with patience and am a good listener; hence, when convenient, please visit my calendar to schedule your initial assessment. If you need assistance, I’d be happy to oblige.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to reduce symptoms of various mental health conditions, primarily depression and anxiety disorders. Cognitive behavioral therapy is one of the most effective means of treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Psychodynamic

The psychodynamic approach to psychology emphasizes systematic study of the psychological forces underlying human behavior, feelings, and emotions and how they might relate to early experiences.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is an evidence-based therapeutic intervention for patients and their loved ones that provides information and support to better understand and cope with illness.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

REBT is a type of CBT that focuses on changing the irrational thoughts or beliefs that negatively affect a person's emotions or behaviors. Therapists will often challenge or dispute these thoughts to help a person understand how they can change their thinking about events that occur.

Eclectic

Eclectic therapy is an approach that draws on multiple theoretical orientations and techniques. It is a flexible and multifaceted approach to therapy that allows the therapist to use the most effective methods available to address each individual client's needs.
