LMHC, 15 years of experience
I am a compassionate mental health counselor dedicated to supporting individuals navigating challenges like anxiety, mood disorders, chronic stress and low self-esteem. I work with clients who are ready to explore their strengths and develop practical skills to improve their emotional well-being and life satisfaction. Together, we’ll create a safe, validating space where you can feel heard and empowered to make meaningful changes that lead to greater confidence, resilience, and balance. I’m currently accepting telehealth appointments, making it easier for you to access support from the comfort and convenience of your own space.
In our first session together, we’ll begin with brief introductions and go over important details such as confidentiality and what to expect from the therapy process. You’ll have a safe space to share your story, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll also ask about relevant personal history so I can better understand your needs and focus on what is relevant to you. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. We’ll define your goals together and create a plan that fits your unique circumstances. My approach is warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental—designed to help you feel safe, respected, and comfortable being yourself. You can expect open conversation, thoughtful guidance, and practical tools that you can begin applying in your daily life. Over time, our sessions will help you build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward the meaningful changes you’re seeking—at a pace that feels right for you.
One of my greatest strengths as a mental health practitioner is my ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. I am deeply compassionate, patient, and empathetic, which allows me to truly connect with and understand the emotions, experiences, and challenges you're facing. My clients often share that they feel heard, validated, and supported from the very beginning.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, you're not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it on your own. I’m here to support adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, low self-esteem, or difficult life changes. You may have tried to “push through,” but have come to realize that something needs to shift. You're ready for meaningful change, even if you're not exactly sure where to start. What matters most is your willingness to grow, reflect, and actively engage in the process. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that can help you feel more confident, grounded, and in control of your life. As a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish), I also offer a culturally sensitive space where members of the Hispanic/Latinx community can feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Wherever you’re starting from, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and care.
I integrate person-centered techniques from the very beginning of our work together and continue to use them throughout the course of treatment. My priority is to create a nurturing, safe, and validating environment where you feel genuinely heard and understood. I believe that when people are given the space to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns openly—without fear of judgment—it lays the foundation for meaningful and effective therapy. A strong therapeutic connection is at the heart of the healing process. It allows us to collaborate in a way that feels authentic and supportive as we focus on the areas of your life you’d like to explore and grow. Through this approach, I strive to empower you and support your journey toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and overall well-being.
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice and have found it to be highly effective in helping individuals gain insight into how their thoughts influence their emotions and behaviors. I regularly use CBT to support clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, and other life concerns. In our work together, I’ll guide you through identifying unhelpful thought patterns—like self-criticism or worst-case thinking—and help you insightfully challenge and reframe them in ways that feel more realistic and supportive. I tailor CBT tools and strategies to meet your unique needs, whether that’s through thought tracking, behavioral experiments, or building coping skills for difficult moments. CBT is an active and collaborative approach, and I’ll be right alongside you as we use it to move toward meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to empower you with practical tools you can use not just in therapy, but in everyday life.
I incorporate strength-based therapy into my practice by focusing on what’s already working well in your life—your inner strengths, past successes, values, and resilience. Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful this approach can be in helping individuals build confidence, foster hope, and move through challenges with a greater sense of self-trust and empowerment. Rather than only focusing on problems or what's "wrong," strength-based therapy allows us to highlight and expand the qualities and resources you already have. Together, we'll explore how your unique strengths can support growth, healing, and meaningful change in the areas you're seeking to improve. I find this approach especially helpful for clients who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to begin. By recognizing and building on your capabilities, we create a more affirming and motivating path forward—one that helps you reconnect with a sense of purpose, possibility, and self-worth.
