Are you ready to take control of your life and make some changes? Are you feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, stressed, stuck, and anxious and find it difficult to feel motivated? Or, maybe you’re recently experiencing a relationship issue and/or a recent loss and feeling sad and alone? I believe I can help you. My name is Monica Victoria Pulido. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California Riverside and a Master’s in Social Worker from California State University of San Bernardino. I am a Spanish-speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing as a clinician since 2003. I have extensive experience working with young children, young adults, outpatient care treating adults and the elderly, mental health settings, and groups. I can discuss and treat a variety of behavioral health concerns. I am interested in working with individuals who are experiencing major life transitions, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression and stress. In my work, I hope to offer you a safe, warm, and empathetic space where you can share your feelings but also feel empowered to make the changes necessary to live a more meaningful life. I strongly believe in the importance of meeting individuals where they are. I will assist you with developing insight into yourself and your situation. Together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and support you where you want to be. Whether that is: to gain confidence, communicate better, set boundaries, or start healing from your past traumas. I hope to be able to assist you in building a better version of yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I applaud you for taking this initial step into your self-healing journey. If you decide to make the first appointment we me, our initial session will include you sharing your story and concerns. The first 1-2 sessions will involve a comprehensive evaluation of your needs. By the end of our evaluation, I will be able to offer you some initial impressions of what our work might include. You and I will work together to reach a shared understanding of where your problems come from and what factors in your life contribute to keeping those problems in place. This information guides how you will move forward in resolving them. At that point, we will discuss your treatment goals and create a plan and together we can then determine if I am a match to support your goals. I look forward to speaking with you.
