I have been a therapist for over 25 years. I have a Master's in Social Work and a Master's in Education. I am also a certified Pet Bereavement Specialist. I am very flexible with scheduling. I am looking forward to meeting with people in my office Appointments after 8pm would be virtual. My puppy is with me at the office. She is hypoallergic, a psychiatric service dog and being trained as a Therapy Dog. (if there is an issue with that please let me know. I utilize a narrative therapy style. I prioritize building a strong foundation of trust in my client relationships and creating a safe environment for them. I believe that long term healing and sustainable growth blossoms from genuine conversation. I Incorporate various treatment approaches to suit the individual client's needs My specialty is adoption and adoption related issues (including but not limited to, attachment, grief and loss, identity, search, the primal wound, worthiness, open adoption, pre-adoption education etc.) I have worked extensively with all members of the triad (Birth families, Adoptees, Adoptive Parents). I myself am an Adoptee as well an Adoptive mother. Because of my own experiences and passionate involvement in the field of adoption I am able to provide support, insight, honesty, guidance and compassion. I do not treat the diagnosis. I treat the person. I am a kind, compassionate, smart, funny individual. I feel very deeply. I am a good communicator which includes really listening. There is nothing I am unable to talk about. I have years of experience as a therapist and a human being. I am able to truly meet the person where they are.
