A bit about me: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Master's in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California (USC) and have been practicing for 9 years. I truly enjoy helping people. I help people find ways to deal with life stressors and challenges in a healthy way, depending on where they are in their life. I also have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) which I use in my practice to help people who are seeking support from career and work-related stressors.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

When we meet for our very first session, I will mostly have questions. My hope is that you leave this session feeling heard, understood, and with an idea of what our future sessions will look like. You are welcomed to a judgement-free zone.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my strengths include advocacy, emotional support, and problem-solving. I focus on helping others feel supported. I am good at guiding others on how to engage a different perspective to their current problems. Sometimes our environmental stressors can take an emotional toll, especially when we are lacking the right support (some things that I learned while serving in the military). I have a passion for helping people build on their strengths and I look forward to helping you.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am trained in trauma focused-cbt to help children, families, and adults to cope with past trauma. I've worked with this model in different kinds of settings, such as foster care, outpatient, and inpatient programs. Using this model allowed me to develop my skills in trauma-focused care and develop an understanding of the importance in processing (past and/or current) trauma in a therapeutic setting.
