My name is Elena Spektorov and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I’ve been licensed since 2009. In my practice, I use a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and other treatment approaches. I explore how some of our thinking patterns can contribute to our current challenges and explore how to reverse them. I will assign homework between sessions to further assist with developing self-monitoring skills between sessions. In addition, to private practice, I also work as a Clinician Supervisor with Sacramento County Behavioral Health.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will start with brief introductions, then discuss specific challenges you are facing. This will help us to come up with a specific plan to address these challenges in the future sessions moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength include ability to listen, relate and come up with a specific plan to manage challenges.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are adults who are willing to explore their current challenges and open to new approaches in managing them.

I enjoy the different coping methods provided, like the positive negative exercises. I also enjoy the jokes. :)
