Hey You! Welcome! I am so incredibly proud of you for taking the first step in regaining control over your life! Life can be a very tricky journey; sometimes you just feel stuck! Please know this; know that you are not alone! We are all still learning, all still growing, and all still constantly trying to figure it out! I'm Neisha, an open-minded Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. To me, the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. The comfort and connection one feels with the person they choose to share their personal struggles with is super important! Being vulnerable is tough and I place tremendous value on the fact that people trust me in their most vulnerable state. My approach to therapy is quite simple- We are a TEAM! I am not a dictator and I will not pretend to know what's best for your life. YOU are the expert of your life so YOU will be the leader of this journey. I will be there every step of the way; creating a judgement free space for you to share your feelings, guiding you, offering a different perspective, and providing extra support when you feel stuck. If you are ready to take your life back, I'm ready to help you do so! Let's get started on your journey towards a happier, healthier, and more balanced you! *** DISCLAIMER*** Reneisha limits the services provided to those that are clinical. Any requests for additional administrative services like disability certification and special accommodations (such as Emotional Support Animals letters) related to a psychological condition will have to be provided by another mental health provider. The reason for this policy is to avoid having the performance of administrative functions interfere with your therapy.
During our first session, we'll discuss logistics such as policies and procedures, the therapeutic process, scheduling, structure of sessions, etc. We'll discuss your background to include previous therapy experiences, childhood, relationships, physical health (because this can affect mental health) as well as other aspects of your life to help us to gain insight into your behaviors and thinking patterns. Most importantly, we'll discuss your goals for treatment because... that's kind of the whole point of this thing! Haha! Our follow-up sessions will consist of us working through your treatment goals. This could include processing events, psychoeducation, or reviewing assignments completed in between sessions. No matter what, I will meet you where you are... I am here for you :)
Exploring core beliefs, identifying the root cause of self-esteem issues, identifying and working through cognitive distortions, stress management, establishing a self-care routine, boundary setting, and addiction are all areas in which I feel are my biggest strengths.
My treatment methods will vary based on individual client, but I tend to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Symptom Management, Psychoeducation, Relaxation/Deep Breathing, Grounding Techniques, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, Journaling, Self-Care, and Boundary Setting. Motivational Interviewing and a Strength-Based approach will be utilized in every session to reiterate your resilience and ability to achieve goals.
