Advocating For You, LLC was founded with the mission to develop clients’ autonomy and advocacy skills so that they can optimistically confront life’s obstacles, promote resilience, and increase self-esteem. Clients are the experts of their own stories and, with those various life experiences, possess strengths, even when adversity may be debilitating. For the past six years, I have been developing skills to adequately help adults, adolescents, and families with stress, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal conflicts. In working together, we will find understanding and meaning in life's experiences to develop healthy coping strategies to build a sense of empowerment. Using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Writing Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I will help you navigate life’s current and future stressors. Seeking help is not easy, but it is the first step in your healing journey. I look forward to working together and helping you create the life you desire and deserve. Please book a free 15-minute consultation before scheduling an initial session.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will start to build a positive rapport and get an understanding of what brought you to therapy. In subsequent sessions, we will find understanding and meaning in life's challenges and healthy coping mechanisms and techniques. Our work together will help you optimistically confront life's obstacles and confidently pursue life's opportunities.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is that my clinical background comes from working with youth and adults. Through my work with both populations, I can thoroughly see how childhood experiences and family dynamics appear in various facets of life. Still, I can also understand how to cater to the "inner child" to promote resilience and healing throughout life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Past life experiences can influence the way we think, which in turn influences our feelings and behaviors. In sessions, we will work to reframe negative thoughts to promote healthier thoughts about current and future experiences, which will help you develop healthier coping strategies and ways of living.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In sessions, we will find understanding in life's experiences, learn to embrace the feelings that come with them and understand that there is strength in those experiences.

Trauma Informed Care

Using Trauma-Informed Care, our sessions will be tailored to create an empathetic, compassionate, and safe environment that understands that trauma is intertwined with life experiences.
