As a therapist, I strive to create and maintain a safe, judgment-free environment for my clients to be vulnerable and explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences–good and bad. I utilize a collaborative approach to raise awareness, discuss deeper issues, and support clients in overcoming barriers so they can live fulfilling lives. I understand that, at times, this process can be intimidating, and it takes a lot of courage to acknowledge you might need help. So, I want to emphasize that if you choose to work with me, I will be there to lend an empowering, helping hand.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session is dedicated for both of us to get to know each other, this includes my understanding of your presenting concerns, gathering your history, previous experience with therapy (what has worked, and what hasn't worked). Discuss your interests, current strengths, and your goals. It is important for me to answer any questions about my professional experience. This is to ensure that you are comfortable and feel like we are a good match for therapy.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are empathy, compassion, and excellent listening skills. I can easily build strong rapport with people and discuss sensitive issues/concerns with kindness and care.
