Hi. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Pennsylvania with over 30 years of experience in working in all aspect of mental health treatment. I appreciate the opportunity to get to know those with whom I am working and focusing on the areas that are important to you. While we will work together to set goals and a treatment plan, I believe that you as the client are making the important decisions about how therapy will benefit you. I see my job as empowering you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our fist session, I will provide a brief introduction of myself and my practice style and then jump in to get a good background about you and your current situation, relating to what brings you to therapy at this time. By session end, it is my goal to have an agreed upon preliminary treatment plan for next steps.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have many years of experience and have worked in many settings providing therapy. I have experience in working in several other areas of service-related work, often at an administrative level. Despite that, during my entire career, I have always maintained some level of a therapy practice as my first interest has always been in getting to know people and helping people through individual challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT throughout all my years of practice. I believe that the ability to recognize the impact your thoughts, feelings and behaviors have on your overall mental health is critical to your ability to take positive steps in improving your overall mental health. I believe finding ways to help you feel more in control of managing your thoughts and behaviors and acknowledging how you are feeling are key steps to your own success in therapy.

Christian Counseling

If you are interested in including your faith as part of your treatment process, I am open to including an aspect of Christian Counseling to your treatment. This is a personal decision on the part of those I see and is only introduced as an option if someone seeking treatment requests such.

Couples Counseling

Open to working with couples on communication, problem resolution or overall relationship challenges.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have focused my therapy style to address practical and manageable plans to help identify current goals and specific plans to move those goals forward.
