I focus on creating a holistic mental health counseling experience focused on your specific needs. Mental health counseling helps you focus on challenging and changing negative self-destructive thinking and behaviors to create a positive fulfilling life. If you are experiencing Depression, Anxiety, grieving the loss of a loved one, difficulty with work and/or relationships, feeling overwhelmed, difficulty managing or dealing with strong emotions or need support through a major life transition we may be able to work together to help you realize your full potential.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. The first session can often be intimidating but through casual conversation we will begin to grow into each other to help you begin to grow.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been working in the mental health field as a counselor since 2013 and have seen and helped many clients with a variety of issues in a large variety of different settings. Client's often comment that I am not like a lot of other therapists in that my sessions often don't feel like stereotypical therapy but also helps them grow in a casual but goal directed way.

My treatment methods

Existential

Existential-based psychotherapy is an effective mental health treatment as it helps individuals confront fundamental life questions related to existence, meaning, freedom, and mortality, fostering a deeper understanding of their values and choices. By addressing these existential concerns, clients can develop a greater sense of personal responsibility and autonomy, leading to more authentic and meaningful life experiences. This approach also aids in reducing anxiety and enhancing psychological well-being by empowering clients to embrace uncertainty and find purpose amidst life's challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based psychotherapy encourages clients to cultivate present-moment awareness, helping them to observe their thoughts and emotions without judgment. This practice can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress by breaking the cycle of automatic, negative thinking patterns. Additionally, mindfulness enhances emotional regulation and resilience, leading to improved mental well-being and a more balanced, peaceful state of mind.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive-based psychotherapy focuses on identifying and challenging distorted thinking patterns that contribute to emotional distress. By helping clients reframe negative thoughts and develop more realistic and positive perspectives, this approach can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Additionally, cognitive therapy equips clients with practical coping skills to manage stress and enhance problem-solving, leading to long-term improvements in psychological well-being.
