Welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York with years of experience working with young adults and adults struggling with anxiety, social anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I utilize therapeutic techniques such as ACT, CBT, and DBT while incorporating a warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic approach individually tailored to meet clients' wants and needs. When working together, clients can expect to have a safe space to share worries, fears, and pain. We will work together to get to the root of the problem and identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that have been holding you back from the life they want. Using evidence-based techniques, we will learn to identify and reframe thought processes to inspire change in feelings and behaviors. Ultimately, you will learn how to be comfortable being uncomfortable while challenging yourself to live an authentic and fulfilling life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will get to know each other more. Clients will have an open space to further discuss their struggles, communicate what they would like from therapy, and identify how we will work together to reach their goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I feel my biggest strength is being relatable while also being a "helper." I meet clients where they're at and can relate to their experience, while also working beside you to help navigate the ups and downs life throws at us.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

When we try to get rid of unhelpful thoughts and distressing emotions, we stay stuck in a cycle that brings us farther away toward what we want out of life. In Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, we learn it can be okay to be with our thoughts. We learn we our painful experiences do not have to be a barrier to living the life we want. When working together, we practice how to be comfortable being uncomfortable while engaging in behaviors that help you move toward fulfillment and values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we learn more about the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When we experience negative thoughts, it can influence our feelings and behaviors that are not helpful for us in the long-term. We take a closer look at thought patterns and origin of thoughts, as well as techniques to reframe, identify alternative perspectives, and challenge thoughts to positively influence feelings and behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy consists of skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal relationships, and dialectics. Within these skills, we learn how to be present, de-escalate and regulate intense feelings, and improve communication and quality of relationships with others.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In Person-Centered Therapy, you as the client, steer the ship in our sessions. As your therapist, I am here to listen and support you non-judgmentally and empathetically. My goal is to provide a safe space where you feel comfortable to be open and honest.
