Hi there! I have been a therapist for 9 years and graduated with my Masters from Michigan State University. I work with adults who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression, have a history of trauma, are within the Perinatal experience or are experiencing stress, burnout or difficulty adjusting to a life transition. Interested in knowing more? Great, let's chat!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will include getting to know each other a bit with the goal for me to understand what brought us together in the first place! It'll also be a time you can ask questions, share any concerns and really for us to begin the therapeutic relationship in a positive, meaningful way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength in therapy is my authenticity. I WANT you to live whatever life you want the most, I WANT you to feel strong and able to handle life's ups and downs and I WANT you to see the strengths you already have. Clients often tell me they didn't expect to be laughing so often and feel so understood. I genuinely want therapy to be a positive, empowering, healing experience for you!

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

Self-compassion is a huge aspect of the work I do with my clients, specifically because with self-compassion comes understanding, acceptance and love to yourself. It's a beautiful thing to see a client go from abandoning themselves to being their own best friend.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

There is value in understanding the stories we tell ourselves & how that in turn, impacts our mental health. Working with clients on the details, like thought cycles, can help make tweaks in the thought process so that anxiety and depression loses its grip.

Trauma Informed Care

Experiencing trauma is life changing enough, I aim to make sure clients aren't retraumatized by therapy. Recovery from trauma is different for each client but with me, starts in a place of safety, understanding and unconditional support.

Supportive

There's few things more magical than the click between a therapist and a client, when it's a good fit.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

We cannot experience overall recovery without connecting our minds and bodies to the present; mindfulness is important in my work because it helps clients establish positive coping skills to handle life's obstacles, far beyond our time together.
