Hi there! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida. I have over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience working with severe mental health issues as well as behavioral issues, stage of life problems, grief, substance abuse, and family issues. Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, or neurodivergent issues, I am here to make sure you get the most out of therapy. Everyone deserves a therapist who makes therapy unique to your goals and issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with brief introductions and what brings you to counseling. I am interested in getting to know you better and for you to feel comfortable with me as your provider. Our first session is also an opportunity for you to ask me questions about my model of practice and experience working in the field.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Bobbie has a passion for working with immigrants, teens, young adults, seniors, neurodivergent individuals, and individuals that are struggling at various life stages such as empty nesters, after the loss of a loved one, family conflict, and couples.

My treatment methods

Family Therapy

I am currently enrolled in the PhD program at Nova Southeastern University. My specialty when I graduate will be in Medical Family Therapy. It is based in the biopsychosocial model as well as in systems theory. This approach has a strong focus on the relationship of the client and the collaboration between and among the healthcare providers and the client. The focus is on the layers of relationships that are necessary to address issues of health, illness, and recovery. Family therapy is reducing distress and conflict by improving the systems of interactions between family members. It is an ideal counseling method for helping family members adjust to an immediate family member struggling with an addiction, medical issue, or mental health diagnosis. From this approach as a family therapist, I feel that seeing families or couples through relational lens. I see the problem as in what goes on between the individuals rather than within one or more individuals.
