Hey there! I'm so glad you're here! I know it may feel intimidating to begin therapy, and you're probably doubting if you should schedule your first session but trust me when I say, DO IT! Although it is not easy to talk about your personal challenges to a complete stranger, I can tell you that I have the tools, education, and a non-judgemental space to help guide and challenge you! You may be tired of feeling frustrated and taking it out on those you love, constantly feeling on edge, excessively worrying and experiencing thoughts throughout the night that don't help you fall asleep. You may feel unhappy with your life right now and you have been experiencing constant panic about where you’re life is going. You may also be struggling to find a balance between your multiple life roles, but there’s hope in knowing that you can feel at peace, confident, and empowered. You can work on not letting your worry wear you out and make you feel tired. You can sleep better at night, stop ruminating on what you're going to do tomorrow or what you had to do yesterday, and you can begin to feel calm inside. Put your mental health first and begin this journey to your healing and improvement! We will identify negative and intrusive thoughts that make an impact on how you behave and feel. We will rediscover your confident and empowered self while finding balance in your life. You deserve to feel validated. I want to hear your story and be able to guide you toward the confidence and balance you’ve been searching for! Through this non-judgemental and calm space, know that you are listened to and allowed to come as you are. Whether you struggle with depression, anxiety, or panic attacks, let’s talk!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, I will ask you questions in regards to your social, biological, and previous treatment, then we dive into the current challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I help you identify the thoughts and images that are affecting you both emotionally and behaviorally. Once we identify those thoughts and images, we will begin to learn skills that will help improve your mood and your actions. This takes practice, commitment, and patience. If trauma is involved, we will work collaboratively to help you identify those traumatic thoughts and images that have affected your beliefs of the world and yourself. We will work on skills to help you recognize your trauma as part of your life and not as taking over your life.
