Hello! I am a Licensed Masters Level Social Worker practicing in the State of Michigan for 26 years. I received my bachelors and master's degrees in social work from Michigan State University. My practice has centered around supporting parents, children and individuals that have battled with depression, anxiety, and anger management challenges develop effective strategies that enable them to enjoy life and find hope..

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will explore what has brought you to counseling and discuss the current challenges you are facing. I will explain my treatment methods and what you can expect in future sessions, along with begin the conversation about what your short term and long term goals are for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been told that I am a good listener and am easy to talk to. I am highly organized and have very good follow through on what I say I will do or provide. I will listen to you with an open-mind and work with you as a team approach going at your own pace, not pushing you beyond what you are ready to face. You steer the ship, so to speak, and I will provide you with the tools you need to direct yourself in the right direction.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Exploring and identifying our strengths can help us use these qualities to create strategies to reach our goals and develop healthier views of ourselves and our potential. We can create an atmosphere of positivity that will help continue momentum of growth and progress throughout this journey of healing.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I will be using cognitive behavioral therapy to explore negative self-talk that maybe hindering your ability to achieve your goals and allow you to live life with peace and satisfaction. While exploring these negative thoughts, we will look at changing our mindset to allow new and more positive thoughts to take their place.
