I have been in the mental health profession for 10+ years. I have many years experience working with adults, children and adolescents with mental health issues. I continue educating myself on various interventions and techniques. I strive to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can express themselves. I believe that compassion, empathy and patience are needed with all. I have a genuine concern for my patients. I have experience with Individual, group, couples and family therapy.
During the first session we will get to know one another. I will explain the techniques and methodologies I use during sessions. I will also gather as much information from you as I can because the more information I have, the better I can help.

I have been working with people for many years and I focus on helping you to identify the root cause of your challenges and to create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.
I have been trained in CBT and have been using it for many years to help people learn to challenge and reframe thinking, recognize distorted thinking, etc. Changing the way people think about situations can affect their feelings and behaviors into more positive outlooks.
I have also been trained in DBT and have been using it for many years to help people to increase distress tolerance and regulate emotions.
I have extensive training in Grief and Loss and I help people accept their loss, work through the pain of the loss, adjust to life after the loss, and find new meaning and purpose.
I have been trained in mindfulness and have been using it in therapy for many years. I have found that by helping clients engage in mindfulness they are better manage their stress, become more self aware of themselves and their environment, reduce negative mood states, and develop increased positive emotions and self-esteem while decreasing judgment.
I am certified in trauma therapy. I work with people to help them recognize the role trauma has played in their life, develop new coping skills, change unhelpful belief, help to learn ways to express their emotions, develop skills to tolerate the distress of trauma, and teach strategies to reduce depression, anxiety, and hyperarousal
