Clients can likely expect their first session with Julianne to feel collaborative, compassionate and insight-oriented. Julianne begins by creating a safe and welcoming space, and will gently introduce IFS ideas, particularly that we all have "parts" and that therapy can help them get to know these parts from a place of curiosity and care.
Julianne is a non-judgmental, open-minded person who is deeply passionate about her clinical work. Julianne is also flexible, empowering, and creative with how she implements various clinical interventions and theories.
I find so much joy supporting other women and individuals within the LGBTQ+ community
IFS theory is used in psychotherapy to help individuals understand & heal different "parts" of themselves - such as inner critics, protectors, or wounded child parts - that influence thoughts, emotions and behaviors. I guide my clients to identify & connect with these parts from the perspective of "Self," which is characterized by calm, curiosity & compassion. Through this process, clients can unburden parts that are stuck in extreme roles or past traumas, leading to greater internal harmony & emotional healing.
