I’m a board-certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner who believes mental health care should be both evidence-based and deeply human. I take time to truly listen, understand the full picture of what you’re experiencing, and create treatment plans that are thoughtful, individualized, and collaborative. I approach care from an integrative perspective, meaning we don’t just focus on symptoms — we look at lifestyle, stress, sleep, medical factors, and emotional health together. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered, while giving you practical tools and effective treatment to move forward with confidence and hope.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is focused on getting to know you — not just your symptoms, but your story, goals, and what you’ve already tried. We’ll review your mental health concerns, medical history, medications, stressors, sleep, and lifestyle factors so I can understand the full picture. Together, we’ll talk through possible treatment options, which may include medication, therapy recommendations, lifestyle strategies, and integrative approaches. Nothing is rushed, and you are always part of the decision-making process. Most importantly, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and clear on the next steps — not overwhelmed or judged.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my strongest attributes is my deep commitment to empathy and understanding. Over the years, I've honed my skills in active listening and validation, allowing me to create a safe and supportive space where patients feel heard, respected, and valued. By genuinely empathizing with their experiences and emotions, I can better understand their unique perspectives and tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. Another strength I bring to my role as a PMHNP is my extensive clinical expertise and knowledge. Through years of dedicated practice and ongoing professional development, I've cultivated a comprehensive understanding of psychiatric disorders, treatment modalities, and best practices in mental health care. This allows me to offer patients evidence-based interventions that are grounded in the latest research and tailored to their specific clinical presentation. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to combine strong clinical expertise with genuine compassion and collaboration. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment — I work closely with each patient to create personalized plans that fit their unique needs, values, and lifestyle. I also take an integrative approach, considering how physical health, stress, trauma, hormones, sleep, and daily habits affect mental well-being. When helpful, I collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, whole-person care. Patients often tell me they feel truly listened to, respected, and more confident in their treatment decisions. My focus is not just symptom relief, but helping you build long-term stability, resilience, and a better quality of life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with individuals who are ready to better understand their mental health and take an active role in their healing. Many of my patients struggle with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed and burnt out. You don’t need to have everything figured out — you just need to be open to exploring what’s contributing to how you feel and willing to try new strategies for change. I especially enjoy working with patients who want thoughtful, supportive care that goes beyond quick medication adjustments and looks at the whole person. If you’re looking for a provider who listens, explains options clearly, and treats you with respect and compassion, you may be a great fit for my practice.
Attachment-based
In my practice, attachment-based therapy serves as a foundational framework for addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, particularly those related to interpersonal relationships and emotional regulation. By delving into my patients' early attachment experiences and patterns, I can uncover underlying issues that may be contributing to their current struggles.
Biofeedback
In my practice, I often utilize biofeedback as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for patients struggling with conditions like anxiety, stress-related disorders, and chronic pain. By helping patients learn to regulate their physiological responses, biofeedback can promote relaxation, reduce symptoms, and improve overall well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
One of the key ways I incorporate CBT into my practice is by collaborating closely with my patients to identify and challenge their negative thought patterns, also known as cognitive distortions. Together, we examine the evidence supporting these thoughts and explore alternative, more balanced interpretations of their experiences.
Supportive
One of the key ways I use supportive therapy is by actively listening to my patients' concerns, offering empathy, and validating their experiences. This can be incredibly validating for patients who may feel misunderstood or dismissed by others in their lives. By providing a nonjudgmental environment where they can express themselves freely, patients often feel more comfortable opening up about their thoughts and emotions.
Humanistic
In my practice, I've found that humanistic therapy complements traditional psychiatric approaches by placing a strong emphasis on empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I strive to create a warm and empathetic therapeutic environment where patients feel respected, valued, and empowered to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment.
