Hello and Welcome. It is truly an honor to walk with other humans on this journey we call Life. To be witness to, and support my clients as they navigate challenges, grow, and learn new skills is such a joy. As a fellow learner of Earth school, I bring a ton of lived experience, compassion, presence, humor and non-judgment to the space we both step into together.
Our first session will include a short "what to expect" and housekeeping. I will invite you to share your "why" and what it is you are wanting to get out of therapy. These are goals, intentions, hopes. We will explore your past experience with therapy, if any, and see what feels best to bring forth as we work together. There is never anything expected. You are the one who sets the pace, the content, and the experience. You are always in choice, including if I am not a good match for you.
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker my whole professional career, working in the medical field, then moving into counseling. I have lived a life of diverse experiences, difficult challenges, and immense growth. These opportunities opened my heart wider, expanded my ability to work with energy, and bring in other healing gifts. My superpowers are empathy, compassion, humor, presence, atunement, and vulnerability. I have learned that by being my authentic self, I invite others to be theirs too. I have participated in trainings including Energy Healing, Shamanism, Trauma-Informed, and am trained in Somatica Method (Sex and Intimacy Coaching).
I love working with both individuals and couples. I find that the clients that find their way to me are those that are already on a journey of growth, and understand they are not "the victim". I will help clients move towards a more embodied experience of empowered nature. To help you gain insight and awareness of your own world, and to uncover what is limiting you from your highest potential.

I find CBT to works really well when clients have challenging reoccurring thoughts and also with anxiety. With CBT, one can recognize how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. That knowledge can then be used to change your thinking patterns, which will brings you more calm and peacefulness as you move through life.
Compassion Focused therapy is foundational to me. When we feel safe to share, and to experience how our own nervous system works, we can find new ways of self-soothing through compassion for ourselves. Learning to identify where shame, guilt, judgement are present, and practicing awareness and self-regulation techniques can support more contentment and inner peace.
Experiential Therapy is a very effective way to rewire our mind-body through an experiential, embodied process, which is more effective than simply using cognitive learning techniques. We will expand on skills and techniques to use in your own life, shift patterns and habits, and challenge beliefs. This is especially powerful when working with intimacy issues, both emotional and sexual.
In supporting clients with a Somatic approach, I believe a person’s inner feelings impact their physical form. I use mind-body exercises to help a client release trauma with grounding, atunement and mindfulness. I find this to be a very powerful therapeutic approach to healing and often see quick transformation in how a client experiences their life.
This approach is an approach to healing and growth that looks at a person as an integrated whole: mind, body, and spirit. Allowing a person to not just use their mind as in traditional talk therapy, but incorporating things like movement, breath work and mindfulness.
