Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have been providing counseling in a multitude of settings ranging from Residential, Hospitals and private practice for over the past 20 years. I have experience working with individuals struggling with negative self-talk, low self-esteem, mood instability, challenging irrational beliefs and anxiety/depression. The last 10 years, I have been working in a private practice setting with the primary diagnoses of anxiety/depression. I use the treatment modalities of client-centered approach, solution focused therapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapy.   Do you sometimes feel alone or sad? Find yourself thinking about things you want to do to feel better, but you just can't get yourself to get up and do them? Do you often worry about things that most likely will never happen or fear social situations? Let's face it, the struggles we face today can be very difficult, and everyone needs someone to talk to. I believe we all deserve a chance to feel our best and overcome life's challenges and that is what we will do together. As your therapist, I will work with you to reduce the stress that comes along with many of life's stressors and build a therapeutic trusting relationship. We will take those and turn them into positive changes that you will feel more secure within yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

At your first session I will make you feel as comfortable as possible and begin with talking about the presenting problem as well as your history that led you to come into therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

You can expect efficient sessions, flexibility with scheduling and that I go above and beyond for my clients. I feel that listening is one of the most important aspects of the counseling process and that is what I will provide without any judgements.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize a cognitive behavior approach to recognize/challenge negative thought patterns in order to learn new ways of coping.
