I believe that every individual has the power to change their own life. Whatever personal struggles you may face, my goal is to empower you and guide you through them, helping you to emerge a healthier and stronger person. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, from inpatient hospitals to residential treatment facilities, and I am EMDR trained.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During our first session, I will get an overview of your concerns and goals for therapy. I will ask you some intake questions to better understand the scope of therapeutic need and what specific treatment goals we can make. This is a great time to ensure we are a good fit for one another and that you can ask any questions you need to help you feel at ease.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I strive to make my therapeutic environment as welcoming and comfortable as possible. I believe that therapy should be a place where you can be fully yourself, without any fear of judgment or criticism. I foster an open-environment full of humor, lightheartedness, and compassion. Because I work with individuals with severe trauma, I pride myself on approaching each individual with sensitivity and the desire to fully understand your personal story.
