Hello there. Well just a few things about myself. I have over 20 years experience in the mental health field. I am a singer-songwriter and very much involved in music. I am also a writer and just got done with my book finally. I have helped many people to eliminate depression and anxiety from their lives, to manage ADHD, to have closure and healing for trauma, to navigate safety through difficult life transitions, to have a voice in life and to have a clear game plan for career and the future. I really enjoy helping people to move forward in life, it is a passion of mine. I look forward to working with you, and you will direct the direction we take in our therapeutic relationship. I love working with couples, and it is an honor to work with veterans.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I try to use the first session for us to get acquainted, and for me to get an accurate look at what is going on for you as a person, what your symptoms are, and what your story is. I let people tell their stories. I try to establish trust from the very beginning, and talking to me is just like talking to one of your friends. I’m quite down to earth and quite relaxed in session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Well, I am pretty good at diagnosing, and I have good discernment to tell when a client is troubled deeply, but they are afraid to admit it. I consider obstacles as opportunities, and I will help you to grab life by the horns peacefully.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I would say that this is basically the foundation of what I do. I see our thoughts as the architect of everything we feel and do.

Couples Counseling

I work with a lot of couples, and I enjoy working with couples. I simply try to help people to hear each other, and to have a collaboration.

Psychoeducation

I give my clients proven coping strategies to work on, and materials and assignments to work on in between sessions.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I try to help individuals to move forward in life in a manner that is meaningful to them. I seek to help people to have a voice in life. It’s not about what I want, it’s about what you want to accomplish in your life.

Faith based therapy

If a person is wanting this, I don’t mind having a spiritual focus to our sessions. But this is strictly up to my client.
