Welcome! I am an LCSW with 6+ years experience working in community-based and private therapy settings. I have a passion to support my clients realize their truest most whole selves. I believe meaningful change is possible when a person feels seen, understood, and unconditionally accepted. With this philosophy I utilize person-centered therapy, IFS, EMDR, and mindfulness to support my clients innate capacity to heal and grow.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session my focus is to get to know you and begin to understand your presenting challenges while building a genuine connection with you based on safety and trust. From there we will work collaboratively to set goals and create a plan tailored to your specific needs and desires.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I pride myself in my ability to connect with each client in a genuine and confident way using warmth and humor. I offer a gentle approach that is guiding, supportive, and also challenging when necessary, because I want you to get the most out of each session we have together.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have effectively provided service and exit from therapy for young children, adolescents, and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and PTSD. I am currently offering solely virtual sessions and for that reason I will only be seeing adults as I believe in-person therapy is most effective for children.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) is a somatic person-centered approach in which I act as compassionate facilitator to your body's natural ability to heal. I have used it for over 2 years with both children and adults to treat trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and problems of daily living.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS Therapy is another person-centered approach that goes into the person's inner world to heal wounded parts and restore balance and harmony by changing the dynamic between parts and the core Self. The core Self is the confident, compassionate, whole person at the center of each individual. I am an IFS-informed therapist and I have been utilizing this method for the past year to treat internal conflict, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
