What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I like to start my first session by introducing you to the ins and outs of therapy. At that session I also want to know what is going on in your life, your strengths, weaknesses and what you want to work on. Each session I will check in with you on what you feel is the biggest concern that you need to work on. I often ask just the right questions to lead you to discover the healing and wisdom that you need. My goal is to get you to a point that you feel confident that you can function and enjoy life without my support.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
Most of my experience is working with families and individuals. I have a degree in art therapy, which I use any time the client wants to include it. I am also well trained in evidence-based therapies such as CBT, Trauma focused-CBT, DBT, EMDR, and motivational interviewing.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strengths are helping others over come traumas in there lives. Whether its a big traumatic event, abuse or something that you just can't seem to let go of. I also work well with anxiety, depression and anger. I help teach you the skills you need to reduce your symptoms, while getting to the root of the problem.
