24 years of experience

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical social Worker(LCSW) based in Illinois but also licensed in Utah. I received my Masters from Aurora University and have been practicing for 24 years. I help adults struggling with anxiety and stress to become the best versions of themselves.I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My first priority in starting with a new client is ensuring that they feel safe, heard, and an equal partner in the therapeutic process. As a seasoned telehealth provider, I offer the convenience of remote sessions to help make therapy a core component of your self-care calendar.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 24 years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy builds upon the principles of cognitive therapy by using techniques such as mindfulness meditation to teach people to consciously pay attention to their thoughts and feelings without placing any judgments upon them.
